Spring Bingo
Dust off the baskets.
The taste of Spring is in the air, the sunny days come and tease us of what’s to come. To encourage Spring to hurry up I have decided to wear the colours of Spring, I do indeed dress for the weather I want and not the weather that is actually here. Through a lot of trial and error I have discovered the joys of layering my summer dresses deep under shirts, jumpers and coats. There is one summer dress which I have worn right the way through Winter, I have been quietly clinging on to Summer this whole time.
I wear the dress in question so much that I was delighted to find another one on vinted. I am a huge believer of owning duplicates of a cherished garment. It is a staple, a simple white cotton dress that makes me feel like I can go to a French market in the summer or waltz into Greta Gerwig’s Little Women in the Autumn. I consider white dresses to be a staple in my wardrobe and I am counting down the days until I can wear more summer white dresses.
Recently I have been shopping my own wardrobe and pulling out all the spring colours that appeal to me: pistachio green, blue gingham, cream knitwear, pale pink, white cotton and light stripes. It all depends what you consider your own Spring palette of course but mine is firmly white, green and pink. Pink and green is possibly one of my most favourite colour combinations, the first wall colour I can remember picking for my bedroom as a kid was pale pink with a pale green. The combination reminds me most of spring, those vibrant green buds you see on trees and hedgerows, the pinks of tulips, blossom and magnolia.

Spring 2026 is a fresh start to the year for me, I have been recovering from an injury for the last few months so I am in desperate need of a restart. I have been making mood boards and trying to visualise what I want out of this year. It is never too late to restart the year. When everything in the news gets too heavy it spurs me on to enjoy the smaller things in life, to cherish what I do have, to try and put a bit of joy back into the world.
As I was thinking about all the things I love about Spring and all the things I want to do this Spring I thought I would make a Spring Bingo card to share. I have really gotten into using Canva recently, I find it meditative, a great way to do moodboards and make silly little itineraries. Forever trying to make the small things whimsical and appealing.
It is about this time of year that I find myself with a bit more motivation, I am coming out of hibernation, I am ready to praise the sun again. Just those couple of days of sun that we were blessed with have invigorated me to look after my pot plants and give them a spring refresh, to quite literally plant new seeds and watch them grow.
What would be on your Spring Bingo card? I would love to hear more ideas for Spring, feel free to add yours in the comments! I have been enjoying slowly attacking the clutter that I collect. This has not stopped me from acquiring more of course. I just NEEDED the spode cake plates I found in the charity shop yesterday.
I will be spending my Sunday making a cake and finding all the spring colours in my wardrobe.
Happy International Women’s Day!
